After gaining an MSc in Sports Biomechanics Matt completed the Premier Training diploma in personal training and sports massage and qualified as a personal trainer in 2004. He then worked in Canary Wharf Holmes Place for three years and then Virgin Active for 4 years becoming a Virgin Active Master Trainer. He is qualified to REPS level 3 and became an accredited UK strength and conditioning coach in 2013. He is passionate about the benefits of exercise and healthy eating and takes a great deal of pride in the achievements of his clients.
Matt was a keen triathlete for 15 years competing over sprint, Olympic and middle distance races. He competed at the world age group championships in Vancouver in 2008 and Budapest in 2010. He also qualified for the European championships in Israel and Spain. Swimming was always Matt’s strength, regularly coming out the water in the front group. Cycling and running always needed a lot more training! Since retiring from triathlon Matt has focused on strength training, particularly enjoying the Olympic lifts and Crossfit style training.
